I blend into the background so you can focus entirely on your birth experience while I gently document the story.
Why This Work Means So Much to Me
This isn’t just something I decided to offer on a whim.
I’ve spent 16 years working at a children’s centre as a family support worker, supporting families through pregnancy, early parenthood and those important first years of a child’s life.
I’ve seen first-hand just how significant those early moments are.
I’m also a mum myself to two children, so I know how powerful and emotional birth can be.
I was also present at the birth of my sister’s baby, and I have photographed a home birth – both experiences that left me completely in awe of the strength, love and emotion involved in bringing a baby into the world.
It’s something truly incredible to witness.
And it’s an honour to document.
